POLITE REQUEST


In every situation, we need polite request to ask something, offering something, asking for help with someone, offering your help to someone and etc. In this situation, you can say:

A.   Using May I, Could I and Can I (MAY I/Could I/Can I + V1)
  1. May I borrow your English book?
  2. Could I read your English book?
  3. Can I see your English Book?
     Note: May I and Could I more polite or formal than Can I (informally).

B.       Using Would you, Could you, and Can you (Would you/Could you/Can you + V1)
1.      Would you help me to explain English material?
2.      Could you take that paper for me?
3.      Can you show me your English book?

C.       Using WOULD YOU MIND IF + I + PAST and WOULD YOU MIND + VING
1.      Would you mind if I opened the door?
2.      Would you mind if I invited you to my party?
3.      Would you mind opening the door?
4.      Would you mind inviting me at your party?

ASSIGNMENT APRIL 15TH, 2020

Based on your sentences last week about polite request. now, please create your own conversation about polite request, related on the role bellow:
1. The theme of your dialogue is STUDY AT HOME IS FUN.
2. Create dialogue in group. Every group based on two students.
3. You can used zoom, WA video, Umeetme video or another way to create your video.
4. Write the script in a pieces of paper (file document). Do not forget write your name and your friend name, students number, and department
5. Video duration at least 2 minutes and not more than 5 minutes.
6. Send your assignment in google classroom. ( Just one of students in every group)
7. Do not forget write your name, students number and your department in this column comment as your absent.
