BASIC PHRASE STRUCTURE RULES

Basic Phrase structure rules s something that we need to make tree diagram in syntaxes. let we look at the symbol of basic phrase, namely:

1. S (subject) 

2. Det = Determiner

3. Art = Article 

4. NP (Noun Phrase)

5. VP (Verb Phrase)

6. AP = Adjective Phrase

7. PP = Prepetition Phrase

8. AdvP = Adverb Phrase
