LEARNING INFORMATION OF ENG MORSYNTAX 2023

 COURSE DESCRIPTION

E-LEARNING (CALTIRA ROSIANA)

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of English lexical morphology and syntax. It concentrates on the concepts of words, types of words, morphemes, allomorphs, inflections and derivations, word structures, word categories and functions, phrases, kinds of phrases, and the interface between morphology and syntax. This course also gives students knowledge on how to represent the structure of words, phrases, and clauses in tree diagrams.

THE STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENT AFTER LEARNING MORPHOSYNTAX

Upon the completion of this course, students are expected to:

a.         understand basic morphological and syntactic concepts;

b.        be able to observe, describe, and explain morphological and syntactic phenomena; and

c.     be able to analyze the surface and underlying structures of words, phrases and clauses and represent them in tree diagrams.

- Read the class syllabus

- Join the GCR class (click here)  and fill in your attendance list 

- Make 9 (nine) groups for discussion

- The group material should be discussed

note: 

- Based on last week's information relating group assignment about morphosyntax, please submit your assignment to GCR today. Then,  your Paper and PPT could be revised again the following day (it could be submitted again at least on Sunday 30 September 2023)

- For the next week please the first group prepare laptop, LCD, and students attendance list before our class starts. the class will start at 15.30. If your class is ready, please contact me in WA group.
